Three beautiful new pieces sung by The Orpheus Choir
'Be still, Nightingale' by composer Jerry Estes and 'As I hear the sweet lark sing' plus 'Come live with me and be my love', both by Greg Gilpin.

Recorded by Laszlo Varadi, a Hungarian friend of the Choir, on 4th April, 2016 in The Community Youth Centre, Fermoy. Conducted by Orpheus' Hilary Reynolds.
Orpheus is accompanied on the piano by the highly talented fifteen year old girl Gormfhlaith Ní Shíocháin-Ní Bhéoláin from Fermoy.
Hans van den Bos designed the three videos using his own photographs and two clips of birdsong from the internet.

  1. I think the best one is The Nightingale

  2. I received this email from Nelius O'Flynn a few days ago:

    Hi Hilary,

I really enjoyed the Friendship Week concert last Thursday. I thought the Orpheus Choir were brilliant and singing as good as ever I have heard them.
I look forward to the day that I will be singing that wonderful song The Nightingale along with my friends in the Choir.

    Best Regards,
